Key StatisticsAltitude: 5,190 meters (17,028 feet) above sea level. It is only 10 meters lower than the Everest Base Camp.
Location: Situated in Damxung County (Dangxiong), under the administration of Lhasa City.
Geography: It cuts across the majestic Nyainqêntanglha Mountain Range.

Main Highlights
The Gate to Namtso: It is the mandatory road passage to reach Namtso Lake from Lhasa. As you cross the pass, the vast, crystal-blue sacred lake suddenly reveals itself in the distance.Cultural Experience: The pass is heavily decorated with thousands of colorful Tibetan prayer flags fluttering in the wind. Locals consider it a holy site and build Mani stone piles here to pray.The Altitude Marker: There is a famous stone monument carved with the altitude "5190m" where tourists love to take photos.
